Speak Czech with Confidence:
Lessons that move you forward

With personalised one-on-one support, you can pass your exam, get the job you want, overcome challenges…
Or finally start speaking Czech with ease and joy.

Maybe:

  • You need to take the Czech language exam for permanent residency, citizenship, or another official test — and you’re worried that, in your current situation, your chances of passing aren’t great.
You know you need to step up… but what exactly should you focus on? When? How?
  • You’re studying medicine, but during your hospital placements, you struggle to understand doctors and patients — and you feel like it’s only a matter of time before something goes wrong… Not to mention the Czech exam at the end of the semester.
    You feel cornered.
  • You’re expecting to give birth in a Czech hospital, and you’re not planning to sit back and hope the doctor and nurses speak English — or that the interpreter shows up on time.
  • You need something else entirely.. And you know you should have started working on it already.
The time to start is now — today at the latest.
  • You’re afraid that Czechs won’t understand you.
  • You’ve heard that Czech is difficult, and you want to approach it the right way.
  • You don’t want to invest time and energy only to realise you can’t even order a coffee in a café — or to end up feeling even more anxious about the language.
  • You don’t want to be alone in this — and risk building shaky foundations or taking five times longer without feedback.
  • You still feel far from being able to communicate fluently and comfortably.
  • You tend to pretend you’re not home when your neighbour rings the doorbell — because they don’t speak English and you’re afraid to talk.
  • In theory, you know how to talk to a doctor or text your child’s teacher — but in practice, you get stressed and often choose English instead.
  • You feel frustrated. You’ve spent so much time on grammar tables, word lists, and exercises — and it still doesn’t feel right.
  • You’re frustrated that you still can’t express yourself as precisely as you’d like, and you keep falling back on those basic (and safe) phrases and words.
  • Your Czech doesn’t sound completely natural or professional, and that’s holding you back — both at work and in your personal life.
(Is this email written appropriately? Will I accidentally mess something up at tomorrow’s Czech-language conference?)
  • Up until now, you’ve used Czech in familiar situations — and you don’t want to start collecting awkward moments in new ones (like at a new job).
  • You can feel that something’s still not quite right, but you can’t figure out what exactly needs improving.

Imagine this:

✅ You know exactly where you are on your journey — what you already know, what still needs some work, and how to move forward.

✅ You’re not doing it alone. You have a guide who supports you exactly where you need it. Someone who knows you, gives you feedback, and helps you overcome every obstacle.

✅ Your Czech has a strong foundation, and you can handle situations that used to throw you off. You can feel you’re getting closer and closer to your goal.

What I offer

I offer private Czech lessons designed around you and your needs — whether you want to prepare for life in the Czech Republic, get ready for an exam, communicate more clearly at work, or finally stop feeling nervous about speaking.

Every lesson is tailored to your level and your goals, so you can make progress at your own pace.
You won’t just improve your Czech — you’ll also build the confidence and clarity that are essential when using the language.

And beyond the lessons themselves, you’ll also get individual feedback and support between sessions to help you keep moving forward.

What’s included:

✅ Free trial lesson

Our first session is completely free. You’ll get a feel for how I work — and then decide if it’s a good fit for you.

✅ Individual approach

Every single lesson is tailored to your needs, your goals, and your current situation.
No wasting time on things you don’t need. No generic materials. No irrelevant topics.

Examples:
– Is the lesson the only time you get to speak Czech? Then you’ll speak the whole time.
– Are you a doctor? We won’t study general texts — we’ll work with real Czech used by doctors and patients.
– Have you been studying on your own? I’ll help you identify what’s missing and fill in the exact gaps.
– Feeling lost in grammar and want to focus on one topic? I’ll give you clarity, structure, and a clear plan to follow.

✅ Materials after each lesson

After every lesson, you’ll get a shared presentation with everything we covered: grammar, vocabulary, notes… Nothing gets lost. You can always go back to it whenever you need.

✅ Support outside of lessons

You can reach me via WhatsApp or email between sessions.
Wrote an important message and want someone to check it? I’m here.
Feeling stuck with your practice and not sure what to do next? I’m here.

✅ Personalised feedback

You’ll get clear, honest feedback: what you’re doing well, what needs work, and how to improve.

Why me?

Ahoj/Hi! I’m Šárka!

I’m a Czech language expert, and for the past 7 years I’ve been helping foreigners speak Czech with confidence and joy.

My approach is a mix of deep expertise and genuine care — I rely on my strong knowledge of the language, my own love for Czech, and years of experience.
But just as much, I create a space that’s supportive, kind, and open.

I believe that we grow best when we have two things:

👉 A safe space to practise — without fear of mistakes or failure
👉 Honest, detailed feedback — that shows us where we still need work and how to move forward

I’m not a strict coach or someone who pressures you into learning.

Quite the opposite — I’m your Czech Buddy: your guide and partner who supports you and helps you get results you can be proud of. 😌

FAQ

Absolutely! I don’t want you to buy a pig in a poke.
Your first (or rather: “zero”) lesson is a free trial — a no-pressure introduction.

All you need is you. We’ll get to know each other and have a short Czech conversation.
(And don’t worry — if you’re an absolute beginner, I’ve got an alternative ready.)

You’ll see how I work and whether I’m the right teacher for you. After the lesson, you’ll have time and space to decide whether you’d like to continue.

The trial is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how I work.

Yes — you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty.
If you cancel later, the lesson is forfeited without refund.

Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.

This length is designed to match our ability to focus and learn — after 20–25 minutes, attention drops and learning becomes less effective.

In a 50-minute session, we can usually cover two focused blocks or one main topic with smaller extras.

Longer sessions are only used in special cases (group course, intensive course, ….)

It depends on your goal.

Some students (exam prep, job interviews, etc.) work with me for 2–6 months.
Some stay for years (language development, ongoing support, refreshing Czech after long periods abroad, etc.).

Others just need a few consultations (e.g. editing texts for a new business, preparing for a job interview, targeted grammar help).

Don’t worry — we’ll find a solution.

I accept payments via:

  • Bank transfer

  • Credit/debit card

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

You can pay in CZK or EUR.

Lessons are usually paid in advance, in packages of 5 or 10.

You’ll receive an invoice every time — no matter what.
