Hi, I am Šárka...

Hi, I’m Šárka and I’m a Czech language teacher for foreigners. I help foreigners pass the official language exams without stress, speak confidently, and actually enjoy speaking Czech.

Since 2018, I’ve been helping adult students find confidence in Czech – whether they need it for everyday life, work, or an important exam.

Mistakes never bother me – they're a natural part of learning. I won’t laugh at you or correct you in a way that feels harsh or discouraging. But I also won’t let your mistakes go unnoticed. I'll always let you know what could be said more naturally, explain why, and help you remember it – in a way that makes sense to you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and able to grow.

Education

I completed my formal studies in the field of linguistics with an emphasis on the Czech language. Additionally, I attended seminars on teaching Czech as a foreign language beyond the required curriculum. I loved it!

I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Czech as a Foreign Language (AUČCJ), which brings together instructors of Czech as a foreign language for the purpose of education, support, and the development of the field.

Experience

I have been teaching since 2018.

2018–2022: language school Czech Courses, Brno
2023–now: freelancing

I teach only adult students. I have experience in conducting both individual and group lessons, online and in-person sessions, as well as lessons for beginners and advanced learners.
